Have you ever thought about how modern technology has actually evolved? In the beginning, cell phones were a rarity for people and were only push-button devices; now everyone has a cell phone. In that respect, the speed at which technology is evolving is really fascinating. …… It\’s a huge leap forward, and a huge leap for people. Now it is perfectly normal for people to communicate with each other over the phone, to call, message, chat, and video call. But before, people could only dream about this. I still remember when I had a Nokia button phone. That was enough for me at the time. My classmates had touchscreens, but I still had buttons.
Somehow, there was not much need to buy a button phone. Also, for what purpose? That was good enough for me at the time. Besides, it\’s worth pointing out that very few people today have push buttons (except for older people who don\’t really understand technology). Well, that\’s just the way it is. We have become so accustomed to the conveniences of this age that we don\’t even feel the need to change them. Nowadays, almost everyone who goes somewhere, whether in a waiting room, on the street, on a bench, or anywhere else anyway, is looking at their cell phones.
People are completely addicted to their cell phones and if you took them away and tried to see how long they could go without them, it probably wouldn\’t last very long. But I think everything should be used in moderation. I mean, even smartphones should be used in moderation; it\’s really not a good idea to be on your phone 24 hours a day, partying all the time. People should have completely different values. Besides, I think there are many alternatives to smartphones. For example, how about spending a couple of days in some nice place in the countryside with no signal and no cell phone? Wouldn\’t that be much nicer than being cooped up in your room playing games and texting other people? You should all think about it.
